Can I File Bankruptcy with Previous Judgments Against Me?
It is not too late to file a bankruptcy if you already have judgments against you. If you file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and we take the homestead exemption, we can bring what we call a 522 Motion to vacate those judgments so that those judgments will be wiped clean of your record in the county clerk’s office and when you go to sell your property, those creditors will not have to be paid.
